About
My name is Tim Melton and I’m currently working as an Assistant Pastor at Surfside Presbyterian Church. I’m a husband to Martha Jo and a dad to Callie and Camp. Besides these three people, there is nothing more important to me than my relationship with Jesus Christ and the Gospel of freedom that He has so powerfully applied to my heart.

Tim,
Thanks for your recent comment on my blog about the Flobots. I thought I should write you back and inform you about what is going on with my life.
You may not remember me, but I was a student at Camp Sonshine in Brooksville, FL when you spoke in 1999 and 2002. It was in 1999 when you spoke about Genesis and the brokenness that resulted from the Fall that the Holy Spirit convicted me of my own brokenness and sinful nature and made me recognize and acknowledge my need for Jesus as my Savior and Lord.
Since that time I have been walking with the Lord (with all the ups and downs that come in such a walk). I continued to be a member of Trinity ARP Church in Tampa, FL and have just graduated from Erskine College last month with a B.A. in Bible & Religion and Philosophy. I also came under care of my presbytery this year and will be taking classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte this fall. I plan to get my M.Div in three years and then go into pastoral ministry.
Your ministry isn’t only at Surfside PCA, but the Lord has used your faithful labor in gospel ministry to affect young people like as well as other church congregations. So thank you for your diligence and endurance in ministry. Perhaps if I am ever in your area we could get some coffee and listen to secular music…err…I mean…MercyMe.
Blessings,
Daniel

Tim,
So glad I bumped into your blogsite through Daniel Wells. Email me and let’s catch up. It’s been a long time since we’ve spoken. I want to hear more about your ministry at Surfside. I’m with an organization you’d be interested in–an academic “gap-year” program for recent high school graduates who are college-bound. We focus on biblical worldview and servant leadership, and we’re on the nonprofit side of Chick-fil-A, Inc. http://www.impact360.net

A song for Tim Melton
Oh where, oh where has Tim Melton gone,
Oh where, oh where could he he be.
I saw him comment over at iMonk.
But his own blog is very post free.
Hey Tim, Let me know what you are up to. Send me an email. If you are finding it hard to balance the time, then join the club. Maybe we could team up.
